Current projects

I'm working on two major projects in PHP:
- An XML-parser and tag-library system. The intention is to allow separation of layout, content, and logic with pseudo-stylesheets and tags which run PHP functions.
- An object library which provides an abstraction layer between PHP programs and any database or information source. Basically program objects like "users," "pages," etc. are represented as high-level objects, which encapsulate the handling of information retrieval, storage, and relationships.

I've been put in charge of the LBJ National Honor Society web site. It incorporates PHP/MySQL capabilities to provide calendaring, membership data tracking, and all sorts of fun stuff. I'm still working on it.

The LBJ Band website underwent a much-needed facelift last year. I'm working with David Waldo to redo it in PHP, with a complete content-management system.

Designing the layout of eWish was my first real job. They're a wishlist ASP and search engine.
The graphics have been redone since I left. |
About me

The important stuff:
I am half hopelessly romantic idealist, half confirmed cynic. I love logical arguments. I love theology and philosophy. I enjoy music, art, and writing. I read Suck, Wired, and Slashdot every day. Call me a Renaissance nerd.
The mundane stuff:
I am a freshman at the Universite of Texas at Austin. I was born the brief gasp of 17 years ago. I have brown hair and brownish eyes.
