I noticed looking over the past few entries that I've devolved to a totally non-personal style. Which I guess makes sense -- I started this in Germany so that I could tell people back home what was going on, but now I can just tell them in person. That and, most of the things worth talking about, I wouldn't feel right sharing with just everybody (i.e. Jenny).

But, in the interest of my future self reading this, I will note this much: having now seen about half of Rohmer's films (note how you have to say film and not movie when talking about Rohmer), my two favorites are still La Collectionneuse and Cont d'été. I had no idea that the Contes des quatre saisons were made so recently -- it's amazing how little his style has changed. Good, I suppose, if you like his style.

My sister is growing up. Once she was out with my dad, and someone asked if she was his girlfriend. If she knew how cute she was, it might be annoying, but fortunately she doesn't so it's twice as charming. I hope she doesn't scare off all the good guys.
